Just today, the PC port for Mass Effect has officially gone gold. Featuring many improvements that take advantage of the PC platform, players will be able to utilize hotkeys, command each squad member individually and make use of a brand new tactical interface built especially for the PC version of Mass Effect. Not only that, but technical issues, like texture pop-in and slowdown will largely be non-existent, if the PC is powerful enough.
Not only that, but the downloadable content, "Bring Down The Sky", a brand new sidequest, will be avaliable for PC users at an attractive price of free. Those who pre-order at outlets like
GoGamer.com will get $10 off the retail price and those who pre-order from the
EA Store will recieve a Dead Space Art package.
Mass Effect will be out for PCs on May 28th, 2008 for North America and Europeans will see a June 6th, 2008 release.
