Dead Mountaineer's Hotel Coming to North America

Lighthouse Interactive has announced an agreement with Akella to publish "Dead Mountaineer's Hotel" in North America, Germany, UK, Scandinavia and Benelux territories.

"Dead Mountaineer’s Hotel is a non-linear character-driven game inspired by award winning Russian sci-fi novelists, the Strugatsky Brothers. Scheduled to release in Q3 2008 for PC CD-ROM, players must solve the astonishing murder of one of the hotel’s guests and unveil the startling secrets surrounding the mystical Dead Mountaineer’s Hotel.

“Players are in for a real treat! Dead Mountaineer’s Hotel is a great addition to our first-rate Adventure game catalog,” said Erik Schreuder, CEO of Lighthouse Interactive. “The game looks incredible. There is such close attention to detail that you feel completely immersed in the game world. We are looking forward to bringing the game to English speaking Adventure communities across North America and Europe.”

Oleg Klapovsky, International Project Director of Akella Corporation added, “We are striving to bring a fresh gameplay approach to the Adventure game genre with our robust 3D real-time proprietary game engine. It allows us to incorporate multiple paths, consequences and 5 different endings, which are dependent upon the player’s decisions and behavior. We have married this with core elements that Adventure enthusiasts enjoy like puzzles, a captivating plot, and interesting characters to interact with. The unique cast characters each have their own personalities and agenda.”
