The Adventure Company to Publish Sherlock Holmes: Nemesis

The Adventure Company has announced that it will be publishing "Sherlock Holmes: Nemesis," previously known as "Sherlock Holmes versus Arsene Lupin," in North America.

"Sherlock Holmes: Nemesis is currently in development by Frogwares, the developers of the critically-acclaimed and award-winning Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened. “We continue to experience tremendous success with our detective adventure series featuring Sherlock Holmes and Agatha Christie mysteries,” said Byron Gaum, Global Product Marketing Manager at The Adventure Company. “Sherlock Holmes: Nemesis promises to deliver another standout adventure game with the world-famous detective leading the way.”

Previously released in Europe by Focus Home Interactive under the name Sherlock Holmes Versus Arsène Lupin, the title has received high praise from top adventure gaming websites. The North American release date is scheduled for April 14, 2008.

The storyline is set in 19th century London where the famous detective is set to confront Arsène Lupin, a young, French burglar well-known in the literary writings of French author Maurice LeBlanc. Lupin comes to London with one goal in mind – to defy Scotland Yard and Sherlock Holmes. To do this he intends to steal five objects of immense value over five days from prestigious locations across London, such as the National Gallery, the British Museum, the Tower of London and even Buckingham Palace. It is up to Sherlock Holmes to put a stop to this potential national catastrophe!

In a familiar gaming interface, players will spend hours exploring the stunning graphics in an atmospheric 19th century setting. There are more than 40 Victorian era characters to interact with and hundreds of clues and objects to uncover. Prepare yourself for a journey into history as you begin a battle of wits between two famous literary characters."
