GameStrata has announced a new tracking technology that allows gamers to display their online game statistics, game profiles, and compete against others on Facebook. The application is currently available for three games but the company plans to support more titles soon.
"GameStrata members can use the site's broad array of game-tracking tools to analyze their own skills, and share their stats with friends and competitors. More than just keeping score, the extensive data analyses of GameStrata track every aspect of the game, from accuracy to favorite weapons to longest note streak. In addition, users can compare any of their stats to those of a select group of friends, or to the community at large. GameStrata has tools currently available to add EA's Battlefield 2, Capcom's Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, and Activision's Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock to Facebook pages, with support for additional games coming soon.
"Playing games online is as much about the other players as it is about the game itself," said Lance Smith, CEO of GameStrata. "Whether playing cooperatively or competitively, gaming has always allowed players to form connections to the folks on the other side of the screen. Bringing GameStrata's suite of community tools to an incredibly active network like Facebook provides an enormous benefit to users of both."
