Pirates of the Burning Sea Junkanoo Event

Flying Lab Software has announced "Junkanoo," a Holiday event for players of "Pirates of the Burning Sea."
"Don't expect to see the Caribbean decked out in candy-cane colored ships and portly, bearded men in red pajamas- this isn't Christmas, Chanukah, or Festivus, after all. In Pirates of the Burning Sea we celebrate Junkanoo, and this year it began in the town of Nassau. Junkanoo is a carnival-style festival with costumes, singing, dancing, decorations, and a masquerade ball. Bringing Junkanoo to the Pirates of the Burning Sea world began as an idea from FLS Content Director Jess Lebow. A real-world festival started in the 1700's, Junkanoo is still celebrated today all over the Bahamas on Boxing Day (December 26th)."
"Junkanoo took on a life of its own" said Content Director Jess Lebow. "Before we knew it, cowbells were clanging, pistols were being shot in the air, and everyone was blowing fire. The team here takes live events very seriously. We just keep outdoing ourselves. I can't wait to see what we come up with for our end of beta celebration."
"Throughout December, beta players participated in unique Junkanoo missions to collect masks, musical instruments, and party favors (including torches and jugs full of high proof rum—which can be used to blow fire!) Then on December 26th, they converged on Nassau for a huge masquerade ball and parade."
