Vivendi Games and HD Publishing have released a new video showing off the PhysX engine in use with "Joint Task Force," an upcoming RTS game by Most Wanted Entertainment.
"Displaying the advanced capabilities of the game engine, the trailer shows an embattled, smoke-filled city block overrun with tanks and infantry. Modern weaponry blasts away as civilians run for their lives. Buildings, cars and streetlamps fly apart as bombers and helicopters lay waste to the street from overhead.
Joint Task Force uses AGEIA™ PhysX ™ technology to create the game's awesome physical effects. The game is also optimized to take advantage of PCs equipped with the AGEIA PhysX processor, which delivers an even higher level of physics-based reality.
Developed by Most Wanted Entertainment, Joint Task Force will be available this fall."
The video that was sent seems to hang for a couple seconds (tried downloading from other mirrors as well but the same thing happened) in the beginning for me but it could just be my computer I guess. It's 12.4MB in size and can be downloaded from
us,
3dgamers,
FileFront, or
VGPro.
