I think if there were a free-will based game like GTA3 and Vice City, in first person, that is just everyday life, but 100% interactive. So you can DO ANYTHING. And then if you want you can do missions, like say, goto school, or goto work etc. But then you can act how ever you want, and essentially live a different life. and then you can get mods for it, so you could like be (instead of the present) be in the past, say the 1930's during the depression era, wouldnt that be FUN, scroungin' for food, begging for money, THINK of the possibilities, or another time mod that takes you to the time of the ol' West, riding horses, lookin for gold, playin poker and drinkin whiskey.. Do you guys have any comments or suggestions? because I think we should send this Idea to Valve... but they wouldnt make it anyways, they would just advertise for it and allow people to pre-order it! I bet Lionhead Studios could make a game like this, they made Black & White and are working on some Movie game, anyways, thats my idea for a cool game!!! 8)

True, but your seeing it from the lighter aspects of it, If you didnt go to school enough, you might end up too dumb, and if you didnt work enough, you would end up to poor to enjoy the finer points of living.

I think bottom line, the best game ever, would be in the GTA format. However I would like to see an online version (wouldn't we all?). Perhaps what you are saying is a little too ambitious at this point in gamming. Never hurts to dream tho, I am definatly not saying it will never be done.

In my perfect game GTA online, (Just a short summary, I don't feel like getting in depth) you would be able to be police or criminal. Its sort of a massively multiplayer game, much like cops and robbers, with some sort of class system. The incentive to play is the criminals battle of drug territory, the more terrirtory yields more money, of course some 'hot spots' are more viable than others. NPC's make up the drug buyers, and in this virtual much like ours, money rules EVERY thing.

Idealy the more money you have the more power you would have or higher rank you would reach. This isn't just merely a 'standing' but an actual helpfull tool, maybe lets say, you have more power, weaponary, health ect. And to keep things more interesting, you can hire new poeple to work for you (new commers to the game, looking for ways to make money). Thus, you get drug wars, drug leaders, ect. there will be room to create power vacums, so to speak. Say a player is near a rank of his mob boss, there would be a chance to take over his posistion, this would be by act of assaniation or many other means... The assanination would actualy knock the boss down for a bit, so that he can't just come back and regain his throan... I am not sure by what means, but you would almost have to make it this way, not to make the game redundant...

On the cop side, there of course is the rank of cops much like GTA police, and FBI, I am not sure If I would incoperate army, I am not really sure HOW to do it... Also you maybe a dirty cop, selling drugs part time, to make more in game cash... Or perhaps you are going undercover, to find out the secerets of the underworld, and bust certain members of the crime world.

Couldn't you just imagine, a cop getting information on some sort of drug meeting... and then bring in a swarm of cops to put a stop to it? Of course this being a video game, a massive shoot out would insue, and the game would be very fun on many levels...

Of course it all works in theory, and as we have learned by many MMO games, theory, was nice on paper, but didn't transfer over to gameplay... I would like to see an attempt at this game however.

BTW, for people who are confused as to who I am... I am a newcomer to this site, a freind of mine who currently attends Iowa State showed me and I was very impressed by the lay out, and thought I would stop by. My real name is Kevin, and live in St. Louis if any one gives two hoots... thats about all for right now...

wow, impressive ideas! Nice to see ya on here kevin. I think that is an awsome idea for a game. The depth almost seems endless if you think about it. Its something that rockstar games should acually consider.

ive talked with game developers about games like that, completely cuztomizeable and stuff ... they say its impossible because to define that many variables with that many randomly generated actions being performed by so many NPC's it would require you to run a supercomputer. Games are limited by there framework coding, its currently impossible to develope a game that allows you to perform any thinkable action in any given event, and especially if you consider that if you wanted the game to appear funner, all events would have to be randomized and randomly spawned at certain random times, i doubt there will ever be any game like this, after all, would this really be a game? why deal with the everyday bullshit when you can retreat to some cyber world and shoot a drugged up person weilding a flamethrower? SWG is the closest thing to this sort of game right now, with its entirely player based economy and hack free enviroment, the only true issue is the pre-generated missions.

and if alot of that doesnt make sense, stfu its 4 am and i just wrote an paper on my idea of a perfect economy.
